Anger Control

Students with anger control problems or a “short fuse” quickly learn that anger outbursts are not acceptable responses to an undesirable circumstance. Significant consequences for this type of behavior are immediately and consistently enforced in all of our programs. Like many other undesirable behaviors that troubled teens exhibit, anger is often a symptom of unresolved emotional pain. We assist teens in analyzing the emotions which drive their anger and the belief systems which support those emotions. This systematic approach helps teens to actively manage anger by controlling their thoughts and thinking rationally vs. reactively. During our seminars, we utilize guided imagery to assist teens in “letting go” of unwanted emotions.
